Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On August 11th, 2018, my step dad, Glenn Kobs, had started a fire with only him, his stepson, and my mom there--  it ended up to  flash back on him. He was immediately engulfed in flames. My stepbrother, who was outside at the time, heard the noise and rushed to Glenn and started rolling him around. He got Glenn inside and my mom called 911. He was air lifted from Osceola to Regions. For the first couple days he had a breathing tube, but once they had done the lung test on him, it is now out.

As of right now, about 80% of his body is bandaged, and 47% are 3rd degree burns. His hands and chest are the worst. He is now able to swallow water, so the doctors have him on a clear liquid diet. He is sitting up and talking to the family that has visited him. We ask for no visitors at the moment, immediate family only. We will make an update the second he is up to having other visitors. He has a release date sometime in October.
