Good morning , we have chose to share with friends and family the events of the last few days. Where to begin? Earlier in the week Glenn was not feeling the best he was really tired and had pain in his left forearm and elbow. Tuesday evening his was worse and had developed pressure soreness at the top of his sternum. Wednesday he went to his chiropractor but she was absent and he opted for a massage and went home to finish mowing the lawn and could only complete it in small sections because of the pain to his arm. So Thursday we took the pickup in for service and he dropped me off at work. He went home to make a Drs appointment to get checked out and long story short wound up driving himself to the ER, which he was admitted. Our friend came to stay with him and came and got me from work at this time. They have run multitudes of test and the Blood work shows the stress of a heart attack . Further testing reveals blockage of numerous Arteries but they have not revealed how many but more than one and hopefully not all of them. We are assured and confident that we have the best Cardiologist and surgical team available from friends in the medical industry and friends with personal experience with Dr. Takara and his Team. We appreciate everybody’s patience with information as we receive it. We appreciate your prayers and thoughts. We will update this site as we get more information and try help with any questions as we go. They have tentative time for the Bypass surgery to take place on Tuesday June 5th at 8 am . We still do not know how many bypass’s will be performed! Glenn is doing good with a great out look and high spirits at this time! Please keep us in your prayers!!! Thank you.
Tuesday morning 9:15 am , Glenn has been moved to T surgery and they are ready to begin!
10:45 am the veins to be used are harvested and the surgery will now begin. The next update should have more information about how many Bypass will be performed.
12:15 Pm we have a successful Quadruple Bypass, Glenn should be coming out of surgery in the next hour and headed to Cardiac ICU for a short couple of days stay. Then we are off to the 6th floor Cardio ward for a complete successful recovery ! Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts, please keep them coming.❤️🙏😘
2:00 pm Heading to ICU Recovery! Every thing went better than could have been expected. Now we start the road to recovery!!! Stay tuned!!!💕❤️🎈
6:15 PM This will be our last post tonight. The ventilator tube has been removed!! Glenn has a extraordinary amount of pain for which they are medicating, he has to breathe slower and deeper to avoid any fluid buildup in his lungs!! This is where we are, I pray they don’t re intubate him, this could be a big set back. Keep those prayers a going, bless you all we know they are being heard!!! Thank you all so very much. Good night!!
6 June 2018 7:00PM. Recovering in The Cardiac ICU, last night was quite tough and painful, not a lot of rest but Glenn is a survivor today. He slept the majority of today and should sleep very well this evening, his feeding tube going through his nose and the two drain tubes in his chest have been removed and his pain and discomfort levels have decreased dramatically!!! Yay just to start getting up now. They have removed a lot more of the other tubing as well. Leaving 3 separate IV ports and the pick line port. Only 1 IV line is in use at this time. So tomorrow when Therapy comes we hope to move enough to satisfy them to get moved back upstairs. Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts and energy ! More positive reporting tomorrow!! Thank you and good night! XOXOXO
7 June, 2018 Thursday 10:00 am. This day started early around 4:00 am, we are excited all external tubes and attachments except 1 IV port have been removed. Yay!!!! We will be moved back up stairs to the CABG Pod for our final stay. The quicker Glenn is steady enough to get on his feet and able to walk the floor alone, the quicker I will get to take him home. Thank you everyone for the out pouring of prayers and support!!!
7 June, 2018 Thursday 7:00PM We have arrived to the final Hospital destination. Room 608 in the North East tower called the CABG (Coranary, Arterie , Bypass, Graph)Pod. Glenn is still running a slight fever but definitely doing so much better. Settling in for the night! Good night, sweet dreams!
9 June, 2018 6:00 PM Yesterday was a very busy day, Glenn didn’t rest well he was to tall for his bed and tried sleeping in the room recliner, I can vouch for the sleeping discomfort in the recliners. They got him a longer bed so tonight he should rest very well! Today we will accomplish 4 full walking tours of the whole 6th floor, and they have removed his oxygen. Earlier this afternoon the Dr. was very confident of his release as soon as Sunday!!! Yay we are on our way! Now we just have to get his lungs built back to their full capacity!! Hopefully tomorrow will be our last post!!! Keep Glenn in your prayers, we really appreciate all this support!!! Good night.
Sunday 10 June, 2018 Hallelujah at noon Glenn was discharged, he is home resting!!! We cannot thank everyone enough for the support and prayers!!! Our God is Mighty and the power of prayers is real!!! Thank you everyone for everything!!! 🙏❤️🇺🇸💐😘😃
