I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) on April 4, 2016.  On April 18 I was told that I am "triple negative".  This means the tumor cells lack the necessary receptors, common treatments like hormone therapy and drugs that target estrogen, progesterone, and HER-2 are ineffective so I will likely be treated with Chemotherapy.  I visit with the breast surgeon tomorrow and we will discuss my treatment options.

I will get through this.  I have a great support system in my family and friends.  Mostly, I've been watching how strong my sis has been through her treatment for the same awful disease.  Tammy and I have always been competitive.  Now we're both fighting the same enemy.  We WILL win and we will beat it!
