I would like to share with family and friends the journey that our son Glen is on.  On July 19 2016 Glen had hip replacement surgery.  In the almost 2 years since then he has had over 9 surgery's since then.  Each time they do surgery the infection comes back, even though he has a infectious disease along with his surgeon.  His surgeon wants to remove the current hip and keep it out for two years.  
That is why he is going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn for a second opinion.  His appointment is on Feb 8.  He will fly from Texas to Mn. on the 7th and Rog and I will pick him up at the airport.  This has been a very long struggle for Glen.  He has not been able to work and the dr says he will never be able to go back to his job as a correction officer.  Also says he will have problems with his hip for the rest of his life.    Glens wife, Leia is staying in Childress to take care of their 5 dogs and 6 puppies.  I am starting this journal so I can keep her and family and friends updated on what is going on.
