In early August of 2021, Ginny noticed swelling on the right side of her neck. On August 18, she consulted a physician who ordered a CAT scan with contrast, and less than a week later an open biopsy was performed. The pathology report came back as Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Ginny saw an oncologist today, and while we know that her cancer is at least stage 2 , she will need further testing for staging studies. On September 17, Ginny will have a bone marrow biopsy, and she will follow up with a PET scan, ECHO and PFT. The treatment plan will include chemotherapy and possibly radiation. We will continue to share her story as we gather more information.

Although many of you may wish to contact Ginny directly by phone, email or text, we trust that you'll understand why Ginny cannot respond to you personally at this time. Thank you for keeping in mind her need to rest and to conserve her energy so that she can handle this illness with her usual grace and style.
