On August 20th, Ginger noticed a lump in her left groin.  She called the doctor who quickly began to put her through various tests until ultimately she was schedule for surgery on September 24th.  The surgery went well and the doctors removed one enlarged lymph node.  On September 29th, Ginger returned to the doctor to find out that she had malignant melanoma.  Much to everyone's surprise, the melanoma stemmed from a spot on Ginger's leg that she had removed twenty years earlier.
