On April 19th, Gina had extreme pain and 
numbness in the left side of her face, and was 
taken to the hospital. On the morning of April 20th, she was diagnosed with maxillary sinus 
cancer. Gina's body has been fighting very hard and she is very weak and has been in extreme   constant pain. 

Gina has an incredible team of doctors, and we have all the faith in the world that she is in good hands. Her doctors will perform an extensive 8 hour surgery on Thursday, May 18th to remove the tumor. Due to the severity of the surgery, Gina will be unable to speak or communicate for two weeks following surgery. Once she has started the recovery process from surgery, she will then go through extensive chemo and 
radiation. 

We ask for your prayers during this time. This is going to be a long road for Gina and our family. She needs lots of positivity. 

We are going to keep the updates flowing through this site. I just want to remind everyone that I am handling her social media accounts so if you have reached out and haven't received a response, please don't take it personally. We appreciate your continued love, prayers and support. 

Please note that I am unable to remove the "ways to help" donation tab. Donations do not go to Gina. They help support CaringBridge so if you donate, please know that it goes to a good cause, but that it's for the site specifically. The wording is a bit misleading.
