In early December 2020, Gwyn was diagnosed with a rare subtype of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). AML is an aggressive cancer in the blood and bone marrow. As part of her treatment plan, she will be undergoing one month of aggressive chemotherapy. The doctors will determine next steps for her care plan after that.
Our family has rallied behind Gwyn to support her and her daughters during this unprecedented time for us. Our grandma has moved in with our parents to help with childcare and support.
