On Friday, August 6th at approx 7pm Gerry was in a diving accident having dove off the top of a friends pontoon deck slipping just enough sending him straight down - hitting bottom. He was immediately flown from Rice Memorial Hospital to HCMC (Hennepin County Medical Center) in Minneapolis. He suffers an incomplete spinal cord injury cause by a spinal cord contusion (bruise) and a neck fracture.
