Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As you may know, Geralyn has been fighting Parkinson's Disease since 2013. This has been mostly a private battle for her with few people knowing about it. She is a fierce warrior, that is for sure! She is facing a couple of surgeries and we all wanted a way to keep those closest to her updated on what is happening and how she is doing. A mean train has also been organized for her and Jeff.  Click here ~ https://mealtrain.com/mq0eo9   We are hoping that you will check in often here for your updates so Geralyn and Jeff can have time to process the surgeries and heal without too many distractions. Thank you so much. She will be at St. Luke's on the Plaza.  Geralyn has requested no visitors at the hospital and I will post here when she is ready for them at home. Thank you for respecting her request.

Tuesday, April 5th - Surgery #1Deep brain stimulation (DBS) involves implanting electrodes within certain areas of the brain. These electrodes produce electrical impulses that regulate abnormal impulses. Or the electrical impulses can affect certain cells and chemicals within the brain.  She should be in the hospital until Thursday hopefully.

Wednesday, April 13th - Surgery #2The amount of stimulation in deep brain stimulation is controlled by a pacemaker-like device placed under the skin in your upper chest. A wire that travels under your skin connects this device to the electrodes in your brain

Friday, April 29th - FLIP THE SWITCH!
The device will be activated and operating!

Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated. We know she is going to "rock this" and that April 2022 will be a defining month in her life!

Please check in here for updates and leave comments and positive thoughts for her! I know she will enjoy hearing from you on this site!

Please call or text me, Kim, with any questions and watch for my updates. As soon as I hear anything, I will post an update!

Thank you !
