Georgia Carder Georgia's Healing Journey

In early May 2017 I began experiencing Kidney problems. Originally, we thought kidney surgery would take care of the problem. However, several visits to the doctor and much testing have led to a diagnosis of Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Kidney, Stage 4. We are now focusing on slowing down the growth of the cancer, as opposed to removing the kidney. On August 9th, I started the first round of chemotherapy with 3 more rounds to follow in the next couple of months. My daughters have been here taking good care of me, and Kristen is moving from New York City in September to be my primary caregiver. Jeff has been my rock, and we are surrounded with support and love from our families, friends and church community.  I would love to hear from you, to cheer me along this journey.
