A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m. in the auditorium at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, 1934 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. A private burial will take place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where it was George's wish to be interred near his dear mother, Frances Osborn Riley. (Another memorial service will be held in July on the Apple campus in Cupertino, California. Details will be provided via private invitations.)
Memorial donations may be made to the Mississippi Center for Justice at mscenterforjustice.org, where you can also view their tribute to George and a brief video of him speaking at one of their events.
