After months of memory loss and confusion, and what was thought to be a stroke, a brain tumor was discovered while exploring the possibility of dementia and stroke. The type of tumor is called meningioma. It is very slow growing and benign. On June 2nd I received a phone call from Dad and Debbie with this devastating news. I immediately called Jody and Jeff. I was able to talk to the neurosurgeon and discuss possible options for Dad. After a lengthy discussion with Jody and Jeff, we knew that we had to support what ever decision Dad made. June 15, Jody and I drove to Arizona to go to Dad's follow-up appointment with the neurosurgeon. Dad's decision was to have surgery to remove the tumor as soon as possible. Surgery has been scheduled at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
