Gene Venetz

Dear Friends,

We wanted to find a way to share an update to those who may not know.  Gene has been battling cancer for a couple of years and now is  in  the late stages of cancer.   After a stay in the hospital,  he is being cared for at home for the past month versus hospice .    If you are local and want to visit or call him , now would be the time.    Please keep him in your prayers as you have always been in his.

Gene is a beloved husband, dad and grandpa who holds a unique and special place in our hearts.   Realizing that Gene has also  shared special moments with many, we wanted to reach out  as a means  for those who wanted to connect to share  thoughts, favorite stories  and words to Gene in the "guestbook" below  or... maybe share one of your favorite "Gene -isms"  or catch phrases as there are many.    Our hope is that we can read to him many of your favorite moments, maybe what he has meant to you,  and  fill  his heart with the reminder that he has lived a life well lived and that  he is truly a light that will always shine bright.

We used Gene's Outlook address book to gather emails but as many of you know, he is old school and not a fan of voicemail let alone email so we are sure there are huge gaps in this distribution list.     If you know of anyone who you think may want to connect with Gene, feel free to forward this website link or let us know  (kimvenetz@yahoo.ca) and we can add them to the list.
