Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep in touch with family and friends, report on progress, and streamline our updates all in one place. I started this medical journey four and a half years ago with a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis. Until a year ago, the symptoms were minimal and this past winter they took a turn for the worse. In May we were put in touch with the University of Maryland hospital (UMMS) transplant team thanks to referrals from Chuck and Mary Meyer, Dr. Sonya Danoff at JHH and pestering from our friends Susie and Lee Woody. After two months of testing, I am now listed on the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) for a lung transplant. Soon I will be in the hospital to await, what we hope will be a new beginning.
