Gayle Carson

Gayle was diagnosed with colon cancer a little over a year ago. Within the past few months, it has metastasized to her liver. She has been very private about her disease, and didn't tell her children until January. She has been receiving chemotherapy for a year and has received radiation on her liver. 
On Monday, Oct 10 Gayle was admitted to Huntsman with what they thought was a blocked bile duct. After running scans, etc. her doctors determined it was not a block bile duct, but rather that there were tumors in her liver and they were growing rapidly and no longer responding to chemo or radiation. She was discharged to go home on hospice. 
She tires easily and in order to help manage the pain she is sedated and resting. Her doctors said that she would probably be doing a great deal of sleeping the next several weeks. Ned has said that her strength is waning and she doesn’t really have the strength for visits – which is understandable.
We are setting up this site for you to share your thoughts, memories, feelings, and stories about Gayle and her family. We will see that Gayle gets all of them to read as she is able.
Ned has said that you are welcome to call Gayle’s phone as he is taking the calls. He will take your call or call back. If you want to text you may do that too, but it will probably be one of the kids that will text you back. 
She wanted to have a pleasant summer with her family and was able to do that and for that we are very thankful. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
