Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Gary went to the ER on June 13 after having high blood pressures ( something new for him).  During the visit they found a mass. The next day it was confirmed it was some type of cancer. The last month Gary had a biopsy, CT, MRI, PET scan and endoscopy, and many lab work to find out the primary site. On July 13th we got word of what cancer it was.  It was stage 4 rare/ aggressive cancer with mets. Gary is a private person, so telling people he has cancer was hard.  He still does not feel comfortable telling people what type of cancer it is.  He starts Chemotherapy on Wednesday, July 21.  There no set amount of chemotherapy he will do.  He has a 21 day regiment. Which is one day of chemotherapy for two weeks, and the third week is off.  With all this news he still  has a positive attitude and good outlook on life.  He is trying very hard to listen to his nurses.
