On the afternoon of October 3, Gary had some strange paralysis of arms and legs, and a bad headache,  after going for a bike ride. These symptoms came and went till the next morning, when he collapsed (again), and the ambulance was called to give him a ride.  After eliminating other possibilities, such as dehydration, an MRI scan showed a 9mm abnormality in the center of his brain, along with bad swelling of the entire right brain. Cancer was mentioned as a possibility. With that, Gary took off on a jet plane for Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

On Thursday,  Oct. 13, a visit with a too Neuro-oncologist yielded a result of " something atypical is going on." More MRI and CT scans were ordered, and the next morning we got the ^#%*& news that the 9 mm thing had nearly  tripled in size (in a  week...). This is indicative of some evil very bad no good thing in his brain, but they need to examine the cells to know for sure.  He has a neurosurgery appointment for first thing Monday, Oct 17th to do a biopsy, so we will keep this site updated as we figure out more. Please keep Gary in your thoughts and prayers.
