I went to the doctor on June 21st because my shoulder was causing me pain.  A referral was made to an orthopedic surgeon to get checked out as Dr. saw some  arthritis and possibly a bone spur on an Xray they took. The doctor then called me after hours and told me the radiologist had spotted some  lesions when reading the Xray. The next step was an MRI which confirmed there was a lesion in the bone.  I was then  sent for a biopsy on that and referred to an oncologist.  Next step was a PET scan.  On July 17th at a consultation with my oncologist, I was told I had Multiple Myeloma - a cancer that travels through the blood and deposits in the bones. They found spots on my shoulder, some vertebrae, ribs, hip and femur.  (the reason it is called Multiple)  On July 23rd I started radiation on my shoulder and vertebrae, the areas most affected.  On July 26th oral chemo along with a weekly injection was started.  And so the journey  began...   I have faith that God put me on this journey for my greater good and have put it in his hands. I have complete trust in his will for me.
