Gary Lewis

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and prayers and words of hope and encouragement.  Gary has supra glottis cancer, and a fairly large tumor that has caused a huge weight loss since last winter. The staff at Augusta Health have been AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL and spot on with all their diagnosis, their preparations and education. He has started on his chosen journey of radiation Monday through Friday for 7 weeks and three chemo over the next 9 weeks at Augusta Health Cancer Center. We are in need of everyone's prayers as he goes through this journey as there are significant side effects that limit his swallowing and talking, in addition to the coughing,  pain, nausea and multiple other physical side effects from the chemo. If you know Gary he does not mind too much that he cant talk well but definitely minds that he "has to see people every day!" LOL!!   We can also use help with transportation to his afternoon radiation appointments during the month of April  if you have the time.  We have put the task in  through the "how you can help" BUT WE DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT TIMES for the afternoon as we find out the time on Friday for the following week..
