Gary Johnson Hope & Healing For Gary!

First post: Jan 26, 2017 Latest post: Feb 14, 2017
Gary just had his 59th birthday, which he celebrated in the hospital amongst many family and friends. Gary is a very energetic, genuine, caring, and motivated man. Gary is a husband, who makes sure his wife is always taken care of in all ways possible. He helped raise 2 children from toddler age and took on all rolls of being the best dad that he could be. He also has many grandchildren that he adores and looks forward to seeing grow up. He loves to work (as he is the bread winner of the family), he loves all sports, he likes to spend time with his family, and most of all he puts every one's needs before his (as that is the type of man he has always been).

Gary has been having a lot of stomach pain for the past couple years. He was first diagnosed with ulcers and acid reflux. His symptoms recently have been getting worse. After ongoing many ER visits and many tests, it was finally discovered that it was never ulcers or acid reflux. On January 19th, 2017 Gary was diagnosed with colon cancer and had a mass the size of a golf ball that obstructed his colon. He was brought into emergency surgery to remove the mass, which lead to him having a colostomy. The cancer went into the lymph nodes and traveled to his liver. His cancer is considered stage IV  (4).

Please see below for past and ongoing updates on Gary's journey. Leave comments for Gary or the family if you would like. Our family needs all the support, kind words, and prayers during this time. It is going to be a long journey for Gary, but he is a strong man and a fighter.
