Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Gary’s been having a lot of stomach pain which led him to get an ultrasound in July 2020. This ultrasound revealed a mass on his pancreas. Since ultrasounds aren’t as accurate, he had an MRI which didn’t show anything on his pancreas, so the doctors concluded it was his gall bladder and that he should have it removed. He was scheduled to get his gall bladder removed December 30th. However, on December 20th, Gary found two lumps around his neck and contacted his doctor who scheduled a CT scan. He received a call from his doctor with results Christmas Eve morning. The mass on his pancreas is visible again and his blood tests have revealed that he has pancreatic cancer. Gary is in the process of trying to schedule an appointment with a pancreatic oncologist at Johns Hopkins. It’s been a long couple of days waiting in this unknown. We are praying for God’s power over the situation, wisdom for the doctors, and Gary’s ultimate healing and ask that you do the same. Please check this page frequently to see a specific way you can pray for Gary on a day to day basis. As you can imagine, this news has been very difficult to process. But, one thing Gary and Kathie know, is that God promises new mercies each day to allow them to walk this journey.

Thank you for your prayers, love, and support as Gary and Kathie walk this road before him.

“Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:27‬ ‭NIV‬‬
