If you have been blessed to know our parents, then you know they are two of the most kind, giving and loving people on Earth! Sadly, our father Gary has recently been diagnosed with Glioblastoma. It is an aggressive form of brain cancer, and they could use some help! Throughout their lives, they have given so much to others. As I reflect on Matthew 5:15-16, it is clear to see they truly live a life of servitude. Their light continues to shine bright for the Lord, and now it is our turn to give back to them.
Matthew 5:15-16 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
For now, help with meals would be very much appreciated; however, with their current dietary restrictions, it will be a bit of a challenge. We have done our best to provide information about what they can and cannot eat.
Most importantly, please keep our family in your daily prayers. James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Our God is an awesome God, and only with his peace and love shall we endure through this most difficult time. Thank you for your outpouring of love and continued support.
We promise to keep you updated through journal entries on this site. Also, as time goes on, we will let you know if there are any other ways to support our wonderful parents.
With Love,
The Children of Gary and Evie Hassebrook
