UPDATED 1/4/2019 - Many of you already know that Gary was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer back at the end of 2016. His cancer has metastasized through out his body.  In December 2016 he had 2 tumors removed from his brain.  In January 2017 he began radiation therapy on the brain and the tumor around his adrenal gland and lower esophagus.  In February he began a combination of Chemo and Radiation for the tumor around the adrenal gland and esophagus.  Then in June 2016 he began chemo for, as I called it, the whole body to fight the little cells floating through the body.  The chemo treatment ended in early November 2016.  Since then he has been off of chemo.  However in May 2017 he had Radio Surgery on his brain which was specialized radiation on three spots of cancer.  They did the surgery because there were no other active cancer sites and felt this was a great option. In July a tumor showed up growing around his adrenal gland.  Because there was no other sites of active cancer they ablated (burned and dissolved) one of his adrenal glands. He has been good since.  September 2018 his MRI of the brain looked good.  In November the CT of his body showed inflamed lymph nodes.  Chemo was to begin again in January 2019.  We went south for Christmas to visit Mary’s parents.  The trip was cut short because Gary began to have verbalization issues. Now the story continues in the updates below.
