My name is Gary Claytor and I reside with my wife and life partner, Vicki in Denton Texas.

In January I was diagnosed with Advanced Renal Carcinoma and I have been under treatment for this since March 5th. My physician at Texas Oncology is a Certified Specialist In Urological RCC.

My treatment since March an Immunotherapy and Targeted regimen of KEYTRUDA, infusion every three weeks combined with a twice daily dose of INLYTA. My initial scans showed an improvement and shrinking of 4 lesions in my lungs and a stabilization of lesions on my kidney and liver. Subsequent Scans have shown stabilization. My side effects have been moderate with mouth sores, diverticulitis, Hyperthyroidism, Headaches and High Blood Pressure.

I am a Christian and realize I am blessed beyond my deserving. My goal is to be a positive role model during this fight and continue to live life to the fullest while honoring my wife, kids, grandkids and friend. I am blessed with a terrific wife, my rock and caregiver as well as many friends who offer prayers and kindness.

I enjoy a continued healthcare technology consulting practice albeit scaled back. It gives me pleasure to continue a long career and continued contact with many professional colleague I call friends and keeps me busy.

I want to truly fight the good fight physically and spiritually by being a positive contributor in my community, professionally and personally.

God is Good all of the time! I look forward to this site, meeting others and using it to keep others informed.
