Garry Fulk

On December 12th, Garry Fulk’s life changed when he received a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Bone Marrow Cancer. Our cherished family member, friend, and coworker is currently admitted to OSF St. Francis after being transferred in critical condition to begin aggressive treatment.  Since that day, he has received the first cycle of chemotherapy and several blood transfusions.  Garry is the beloved father of three children, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and his youngest daughter is currently expecting Garry’s newest grandchild in March.

Garry has always been dedicated to helping those around him; during his years as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic, Garry transported over 10,000 patients to receive the often live-saving care necessary in their time of need. As the owner and operator of Codebusters Garry has trained and certified over 1,000 people in CPR in our community. Faith has always been a cornerstone of Garry’s life; he currently attends and has volunteered at Eastview Christian Church. We find ourselves at a time where we now ask the community that Garry has selflessly served to come to his aid.

We are asking everyone we can to please give whatever support to Garry’s family that you are able to spare; no donation is too small to be appreciated, no prayer too quiet to be heard and no positive thought too timid to have an impact. All money raised through this and other fundraising efforts will be used to help cover Garry’s rapidly rising medical treatment costs and travel between Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, and Chicago where he will receive care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His loving wife Angie is currently still working as a nurse as she does all that she can do to care for Garry as he fights this battle. In this season of giving, we ask that you please help us return the gift of life that Garry has given to so many thousands of others.
