Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Gail & Pat were on vacation in Florida. She had come down with what she thought was just a cold and went into a Minute Clinic on Friday March 17th. She tested positive for Influenza and they sent her home to rest. Sunday she still wasn't doing better so she went into urgent care. They diagnosed her with Bronchitis & gave her 2 different antibiotics & cough syrup with Codeine. Then on Wednesday morning, when Pat woke her up, she was confused and not able to stand on her own. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

She was admitted to the ICU. They did a chest x-ray and diagnosed her with Pneumococcal Pneumonia & Sepsis. Thursday, she started getting worse and they had to intubate her, which means she had to be placed on a breathing tube & sedated.

Her kids, Greg, Jen &  Jamie are in Florida to be with her and support Pat.
