On Sunday, October 22,2017 Gail had a severe stroke on the left side of her brain. When she came into the ER, they told her she had a mild stroke. As the hours and next couple days went on she was progressively getting worse. On that following Wednesday, we made the only decision to do a surgery to open up her skull because her brain was just continuing to swell. That night we just had to pray she was going to make it through the night. She did! And we also found out the swelling went down a lot over night!! They had her heavily sedated so she couldn’t wake up but she would respond to their commands if they would lower the sedation. Great news! Now today is Friday and they removed the tubes from her head and stitched the skin on her head shut without her skull being put back in place. She is still on a breathing tube but are weaning her off it. She is doing the majority of breathing on her own. Please continue prayers!! Thank you
