On January 16, 2017, Gail Harper went to the doctor for back pain. It was the only symptom she had. After lots of tests and a biopsy surgery, three and a half weeks later she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Fifteen days after her biopsy surgery, her husband, Gerald Harper, was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He is cancer free, but she lost her life on July 22, 2018, just one week shy of 18 months. She was the strongest person I’ll ever know. And she is missed.
