It is now Monday morning and did just fine our first night at home. Hoping to hear from both home health & physical therapy. I need to run some errands & would like to do while somebody is here. Can't wait forever - just wish i could trust GG to behave herself alone!

GG is home@

Today is Sunday, 6/26, and it is not supposed to be so hot. Sure hope not and hope timorrow is even cooler for GG'S home coming. The heat & humidity have been some of the most difficult things for her tI accumulate to since she moved here from Seattlem. The celebratory dinner planning is already under way - Rosemary-Merlot Flank steak, twice baked potatoes & fresh raspberries. Don't tell, it's a secret. Sure gad we're on the road to recovery!

GG is doing better every day! She will come home Monday & i will resume caretaker duty. We will set up some home care & figure out some kind of PT.

yesterday after i left the hospital GG decided to get out of of bed by herself! She had signed a contract with the doctor, nurses, etc, that she would not do that. It turned out OK but could have been absolutely disastroud only 2 days post surgery! Please join me, when you communicate with GG, on scolding her. Despite what she thinks GG does not know better than the rest of the world!

ow at home. GG was doing auite well. She still has some pain but ut is so. Much better controlled thsn yesterday. Trying to be patient & await approval for her to go to inpatient rehab.

At the hospital & GG is about 1000% beyter than yesterday. Pain. Has gotten under control & the doctor wa so mad that GG wasn't better cared for during part of yesterday i don't think that will happen again! Right now trying to get health care approval for GG to go into inpatient rehab. Evidently there can be resistance as it costs $1400 a day! YIKES! wonder what makes it worrh that? Perhaps qe could go in a cruise & it would cost less! INSANITY@ IS NOW IN ROOM 430 at Emory John' s Creek Hospital. As i said earlier, she has had a bad day. She sent me a text not yo come back tonight. Now that she has gotten dome pain relief she says she's going to have dinner & then sleep. GG is having a difficult day. Not really unexpected. Off some meds & some of the nerves that were disturbed during surgery are objecting by terrible shooting pains. GG will be moved to a regular room today but if anybody i thinking of visiting please wait until tomorrow & maybe check with me first. Thanks! Oops! It is Wednesday morning! Kind of brain dead. is 7 am on Tuesday morning, 6/22 & GG is already awake & using the phone! She says dhe slept well & will get real food today, i will go to hospital around 10 & will0 report back after that. ti see GG in ICU for about 30 minutes before being told that i should leave so she could rest. GG was kind of in& out anyway. The doctor says the spinal compression was even wose than her MRI showed. A plate & pins were put in to stabalize things. GG is now out if surgery & in recovery. I will probably get to see her at about 12:30. Met with ghe doctor & she is pleased. GG went into surgery at approx. 8 AM TODAY. I got a call at about 8 AM to tell me that all is going well. At 5:30 am on June 21-1st day of Summer!- I will present myself to Emory @ Johns Creek Hospital for my long-awaited, much anticipated spine surgery. Dr. Florence Barnett, a Rock Star neurosurgeon, will perform the 3+ hr surgery. ir us being done to alleviate the intense pain AND to keep my legs from going numb. It will be good to be able to drive again. After not driving for 3 months, the caged lion will be freed!
