Monica Jenkins Failed Fusion Recovery

First post: Feb 28, 2018
I dealt with severe pain in my lower back from spondylitis in my L5 / S1. After a year of physical therapy, epidural steroid injections, yoga and other coping methods I opted to have a fusion of the vertebrae in Oct. 2016.  I expirienced tingling in  my right foot and leg immediately after surgery and it has never subsided. In Dec. 2016  they declared the fusion had failed due to loose screws and that the bone would not grow. I am now scheduled to have another surgery March 2018 to remove the hardware and insert bigger screws with more bone growing substances.
