Wilfredo, aka Freddy, my husband for 25 years who suffers from Stage 4 terminal lung cancer with mets to brain and bone. Freddy’s Cancer Fight has been going on for 3 years after being given a prognosis of 6 - 8 months to live without treatment. On July 3, 2018, my miracle man had his 6th Brain Gamma Knife RadioSurgery on three new brain tumors. Freddy is now preparing for another round of chemo which is administered weekly because the Lung cancer is very aggressive and has metastasized to his brain, chest lymph nodes, adrenal gland, right ventricle, leg bones plus cancer spots in various muscles in his legs, abdomen and back.
Freddy is the kind of person the person compelled to help while others are hurt or in need. He enjoys helping to coach kids’ football and even was a Girl Scout Dad for my Girl Scout Troop for 6 years. He loves the NY Giants, Yankees, Lakers and Celtics. Freddy got his Golden Gloves Boxing in Brooklyn, NY and taught all his girls how to protect themselves. Everyone who knows him understands his love, adoration and pride in providing for “his girls” (Speaking of all the girls in our family because he’s the only male). When I was in a massive car accident that debilitated me for years, he helped me learn to walk again and made sure that I would not stress over anything. Freddy also took care of our daughter who was in the accident, only 4 at the time who-suffers from a TBI. We healed better than most people would’ve imagined.
I want to be able to give Freddy the same peace of mind he gave to me so he can heal, find joy, and possibly live longer. I want my daughter to believe we will make it. I am creating this page so we can show people our journey to get the help we need so Freddy does not have to worry and can enjoy the time we have left
