Frank came to St. Joseph's hospital for a quadruple bypass surgery scheduled on May 3.  The surgery went very well, but there have been some post operative complications. Frank has Stage 3 Kidney Disease and because of the surgery, he was started on Dialysis every other day. The dialysis is going well and the kidney doctor is hopeful that his kidneys will recover from the surgery. His lungs have been slowly recovering but he has been unable to wean off the ventilator yet. His left leg has developed a lot of pressure and he was taken for surgery on May 11 to relieve the pressure. He will go back to surgery today for them to check on his leg.

Doctors remain optimistic that he will improve but it will take quite awhile. Prayers from all faiths are most welcome and please post messages to help his recovery. Frank's strong faith is very important to him and to our family.

Some personal information about Frank and our family:

Frank came here from India for post graduate studies at the U of MN in the late 1960s. His wife Pam and he have 4 kids and 7 beautiful grandchildren. He is an engineer and started an engineering business 25 years ago. He is retired from his business and has passed the business onto family. He is a lover of traveling to his condo in Maui and MSNBC! If there was an occupation as a professional MSNBC watcher, that would be him! The grandchildren are the loves of his life and bring him lots of joy.
