Frank was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2017, he underwent radiation and 2 rounds of chemo, he continued to struggle with symptoms and side effects. Christmas Eve we went to urgent care and he was really struggling with breathing, dizziness, and increased weakness. Shortly after Christmas they found the cancer had spread to the brain, he then underwent surgery to remove brain tumor, within 6 weeks the tumor returned and cancer had spread to other lung and lymph. Frank decided to undergo aggressive treatment and 2 weeks ago he had another brain surgery to remove tumor. Since surgery he was feeling ok, symptoms like dizziness and blurred vision were better, however his breathing and pain have gotten worse. At this time Frank is tired, he and our family have decided on Hospice, as our goal for him is comfort. At this time we are going to try to care for him at home!!
