Frank Burris

Thank you for visiting Frank's Caring Bridge website. We will keep family and friends updated on Frank's progress via this website.  

Frank was taken to LGH a week ago with respiratory difficulties. He saw various doctors and his general practitioner admitted him to the hospital for testing & observation.  

Currently, he is still struggling with his oxygen level and is in  LGH ICU.  He is on a machine called Vapotherm . The goal is to get him off the machine and on to regular oxygen. He does not have Covid.  He has been tested several times and all negative results. The doctors have ruled out most viruses. They believe his respiratory difficulties may  be from his aorta aneurysm  and will be performing more tests  after he is stable enough to breath without the machine. They are also wondering  if his recent targeted radiation treatments (to his lungs) may have caused damage. Doctors are just not sure yet what is going on and how to move forward.
