Frances Magruder

Frances was diagnosed with Stage 1 high grade  bladder cancer in February 2019. She started a trial treatment at MD Anderson in Houston shortly after diagnosis. Two months ago during a routine scan, her doctor discovered a new spot had appeared on her bladder that was quickly confirmed to be cancerous. Not being able to continue on the trial, she and her medical team have decided the best plan of action is to remove the bladder to dramatically reduce the chance of reoccurrence. Surgery is this Monday, January 13, 2020 at MD Anderson. This page is to keep everyone updated in regards to surgery and the ongoing recovery process.
