Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Our story: In August of 2021, I took my husband to the ER for severe abdominal pain. When he returned home he told me that the nurse had said to him, “I’m so sorry to have to tell you this, but the scans show lesions on your liver.” A short time later he had another scan to confirm the ER findings. This is when the ugly word “cancer” became a reality. A week later biopsy results confirmed it. My 48 year old husband had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It had spread to his liver and lymph nodes. His oncologist said she believed he had about a year left with treatment, meaning chemotherapy.

Our would, my world, came crashing down. All our hope and dreams for the future…crushed. The months that followed were emotional excruciating and scary. We tried to cram as much fun into that year that we could. We tried to get as many projects around the house completed. And then we waited.

A year came and went and my husband is still fighting. We know we don’t have long, but we are hoping for as long as possible.
