Hi, my name is Melissa Rivera, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 26, 2018. This all started a year ago when I found a lump with what I thought was a cyst. I’m relatively healthy, workout 5 times a week and maintain a pretty good diet. I never thought in a million years it was cancer. Cancer doesn’t run in my family. I let so many unnecessary and minor things in life consume my time, I should’ve been focusing on my health. My whole life has been turned upside down, I just keep thinking how did this happen and why? I’ve done so much research and I know I can beat this but I’m hoping my story can help more woman be proactive or feel comfortable talking their journey to recovery. Every year woman are diagnosed with breast cancer, many , like me, find this diagnosis unexpected. I want to try to prevent woman from becoming another statistic. Technology is so advanced now that if caught early enough, breast cancer can be both treated and cured. This is my story and I hope you’ll listen. I thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts. I know you’ll have questions so I’m sure this site will help us stay in touch. Love and positive vibes to all ❤️
