We are using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place.

If you know Felipe, you know how strong his faith is. Especially over the last few years he has really cultivated his relationship with God by going to mass every day and learning more about how to heal through prayer. His grandkids love and adore their “Papa” and he loves spending time and spoiling each and every one of them.

We all thought that he was healthy (he was health-conscious and would exercise daily!) and we were feeling blessed for all of the joy that God was abundantly providing us… then suddenly, about a month ago, Felipe started having GI discomfort that even the doctors thought was caused by simple constipation. No laxatives were working and he kept being dismissed by medical staff thinking that he had indigestion. Weeks were passing and his abdominal pain was getting worse and he was rapidly losing weight due to him being unable to eat very much. GI doctors ordered an endoscopy and colonoscopy that came back clean (with the exception of some bacteria that he is now on antibiotics for). It wasn’t until a CT was done that more came to light and a mass on his liver and inflammation all over his abdominal organs was discovered. A biopsy was done on the liver and the results came back with his diagnosis being stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer.

He currently is still having a lot of abdominal discomfort (a lot of distension) and is requiring continuous pain management for the pain he has in his back. Doctors are trying to figure out how to best manage his discomfort and pain. Continue praying for him. God is with him and we hope to get him feeling comfortable soon
