Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In June 2021, I had a serendipitous experience. While doing a baseline Cardiac CT scan, a large tumor was discovered inside my liver. In July, a MRI confirmed that finding. We weren’t looking for it because I’ve had no pain or sickness, so that’s why I call it serendipitous, discovered by chance in a happy beneficial way!

In August, I met with a Wellstar Surgical Oncologist. We’ve scheduled tests to figure out what we’re dealing with, and anticipate a possible liver resection. My surgeon was happy to tell me “we can fix this!” He said the left side of my liver looks extremely healthy, and if we remove the right side where the tumor is located, the liver will regenerate itself in 4-6 weeks. I think that’s truly amazing!

No worries, I have a band of Earth Angels masquerading as friends, giving me boundless love and support. I am blessed to count you in that number. Please hold me in your heart and in your prayers. I’ll be posting updates to this site as soon as I know more.
