Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
My Story:

Nine years ago I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma, a non-cancerous brain tumor. After many anxious doctor visits at that time, we decided to try Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery. For nine years I would yearly go to the doctor and receive a no change report. I began having Hemifacial spasms this summer and used Botox to treat the symptoms. (This was painful - I don't know how or why movie stars do that!) On December 21, I received the news that my tumor had grown. I will be having the tumor removed and then at the same time I will also be implanted with a Cochlear Implant. The Implant will allow me to have two-sided hearing. ( I have been single sided deaf for almost nine years.)
My recovery journey will be three-fold. I will be recovering from the surgery itself, my brain will be recovering from the impact it will receive from surgery, and I will be learning to hear again on my right side. Thank you for your continued support. My husband will be posting updates to this site.
