ERICA'S JOURNEY
On Friday, September 13, 2021, her norm as she knows it changed, and God gave her one of the biggest challenges of her life as she processed news that none of us wants to hear from a doctor: 'I'm sorry, but it's cancer.' Coming out of the pandemic was challenging enough, but now THIS!? Why? Emotions are running rampant: from disbelief, anger, sad, worry - you name it. Depression, fear of the unknown, and the feeling of 'why me?', resonates as appointments are scheduled; biopsies scheduled; cat scans; second opinions - you name it! ALL of this transpired within 45 days - from the time she felt the knot until the actual diagnosis.
There have been MANY more appointments- you saw her 'Car Chronicles Journey' where she kept us on the loop. During those moments, we see her strength and resilience, but what we don't see are the needs that she is too humble to mention. Over the next few weeks, our Erica will need our support: spiritually, emotionally, but more importantly, financially. Surgery was Nov. 16, 2021. She will have medical bills, prescription costs, and caregiver costs for Qiana. I am reaching out to the families that Ms. Erica has touched over the last 23 years to solicit your support.
On November 6, 2021 Erica and her Team participated in her first cancer walk for a cure. Over 25 ppl registered AND participated in the walk AND she has received donations to help defray costs that she and Rodney will be facing in the months to come.

This campaign started on Oct. 8, 2021, and will end when the giving stops - let's take care of Erica like she's taken care of our sons and daughters.
