We are using Caring Bridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. We are NOT looking for donations. Just Prayers, support, love & positive thoughts.
I coined a phrase a lone time ago, "Life is not a rehearsal" - live it fully, on purpose, with a sense of urgency, & no regrets. You never know what tomorrow will bring. For me every tomorrow will be a great day.
As most of you know, cancer is trying to have me.....know this; I will not have it. Many have asked how we got here. April 21st on a beautiful 8 mile run one sunny afternoon, I had mild pelvic cramping. No other symptoms, feel great and in the best shape of my life. April 24th a CT identified 2 pelvic masses the size of a tennis balls with a diagnoses of Lymphoma, stat emergency surgery was recommended. 5/5/2020 after 2.5 hrs of surgery it was determined inoperable - too risking to remove, but a biopsy was taken. 5/12/2020 Biopsy results were positive: Type: Stage 3 External High grade Diffused Large B Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. A PET scan showed many more masses. The Dr's have recommended R-Chop Chemo therapy 6 treatments over 4 months with radiation therapy to follow if warranted. It is being suggested I get treatment started in the next few weeks. We are getting a second opinion from H. Lee Moffit this coming week and go from there.
I fear not what is in front of me because of whats behind me. God, Family & Friends. Thanks for having my back. We appreciate your prayers, support, love & positive energy. Keep it coming.
