Our dear friend, Evonne Carlson, was diagnosed with ALS at age 53 on September 5th, 2018.
If you are not familiar with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a type of motor neuron disease. It refers to a group of progressive, neurological diseases that cause dysfunction in the nerves that control muscle movement. As ALS progresses, it affects all the voluntary muscles. The person can no longer control their arms, face, and legs. In time, the inability to breathe unsupported can lead to respiratory failure. There is currently no cure.
Evonne has fought hard for nearly two years with the utmost grace and courage. She is remarkable!!!
Anyone who has met Evonne will say she has the warmest and kindest ❤️. She is always caring about her family and friends first. Evonne we ALL love you to pieces. ❤️😘
