On November 18, 2017, the day before her 71st birthday, Evie was scuba diving in the Cayman Islands with her son, Howie. During the dive, Evie became unresponsive and Howie performed a heroic rescue getting her to the water's surface. CPR was performed on the boat and Evie was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Her journey going forward will be documented here for all the people who love Evie and our family. Many thanks for your support and our hearts go out as well to all of you who also hold her dear.
