It's no secret that my mom has been "off" for a period of time, and not just in relation to the devastating loss of Nadav three years ago. Two weeks ago a benign tumor (called a meningioma) the size of lime was discovered in her frontal lobe - an unwanted guest we've named "Yoomi" who apparently arrived ten years ago and has definitely overstayed its welcome. Tomorrow (Monday, Feb. 12 which is also Nadav's birthday) Evelyn will undergo a 5-hour operation to remove the tumor. She will spend the first night in the ICU then, if all goes well, she will be transferred to the regular unit for the remaining 5-6 days. Thank you everyone for your support. Things have not been easy and although being diagnosed with a brain tumor is never a good thing, we can, at least, finally be hopeful that things will get better from now on. Love, Merav
P.S. for those who asked, my mother's Hebrew name: Bayle bat Batsheva
