Evelyn joined our family on 2-2-17 , she went home with Mom & Dad however a week later the Dr called explaining a newborn screening had come back indicating she had no T Cells. After many tests , we finally got the results she has SCID's. Basically the "Bubble Boy" disorder. Her Mom & Dad actually each carry the same chromosome which both passed on to her. Evelyn will have a bone marrow & stem cell transplant which her big brother will be donating! We call him a superhero! Evie will begin with 8 days of Chemotherapy, 2 days of rest, then Christian will have the surgery to donate bone marrow, because of his age (3) he'll be asleep as to avert the terrible pain, after 24hrs he'll be released! She'll be in the hospital for at least 3-4 weeks after the transplant!
