Evelyn Mae was in a single car accident on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at around 4:30 PM CT and suffered very serious injuries.  She was 15 minutes from her Oklahoma home when she fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road.  Emergency medical technicians arrived at the scene and she informed them that she could not feel anything below the mid-line of her chest.  The EMT's placed her on a spinal board prior to transporting her to a local medical facility where she was subsequently and immediately airlifted to an advanced trauma center in Dallas, TX.
