Evelyn Anne Smith

Welcome to our CaringBridge website about sweet baby Evelyn. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. 

Evelyn Anne Smith was born on December 8, 2016 at 11:26 am. She weighed 2 pounds 10 oz. She was born at 31 weeks and 3 days, about two months early. I (mom, Catherine) entered the hospital for monitoring on the morning of December 7th. She measured small for several weeks via ultrasounds. After about 24 hours of poor activity, the decision was made to deliver Evelyn. 

Evelyn is in the Stahlman NICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We expect her to be there through the New Year, and maybe closer to her due date of February 6th. Max and I are overjoyed with the birth of Evelyn!

We have been covered up in prayers, meals, good vibes, and overall support from our family, friends, Vanderbilt medical team, and colleagues. We thank you all. This has been hard, but it would be impossible without your kindness.
