Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. We found out at our anatomy scan when we were 21 weeks pregnant that our son had Transposition of the Great Arteries. This occurs when the pulmonary artery and aorta are reversed and it means his body and organs won't get oxygen from his blood. This is a rare occurrence but it is repairable so he will require open heart surgery within days of his birth to correct this congenital defect and save his life.
